Subject: Update

This is to inform each of you that I have been tested for about six month(since December of last year) and the doctors think I have ALS. It has not been confirmed but the tests for anything else have proven to be negative. The neuromuscular and pulmonary doctor have said they will observe the changes that are taking place over the next two to five months before providing a final diagnosis, but have indicated that they do not see how it can be anything else. We are holding onto hope and prayers that it is not ALS, but have a good attitude as to what may be the end result. If you desire, I will let you know the diagnosis later this year, when they are available.

We had an indication that something wasn’t right, as early as December of 2018, and in July of 2019, was the first suggestion that it may be ALS and serious testing began. After several more symptoms began to surface, the doctors started recommending various tests. For those of you that are unaware, there is no test for ALS. The tests that they do are for other related issues. If the results of those tests are negative, ALS is the default culprit. It’s the first time in my life that I’ve prayed to fail every test, but passed each with flying colors. Now it’s a matter of wait and see.

I sold our 1967 Chevelle SS 396 this spring because it hurt to drive it. It hurt worse to sell it!
